Written by Kapnos on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Monday, January 14, 2008

Hey there,do you like Hard,Kick-Ass rock music (which does not have senseless screaming which you can't make a word out of) then you must try Seether.Seether is one of my favorite rock bands out there. They are not great but they are good.Half the songs on their album are really rocking and the problem with these guys is that their albums are not collectively as good as their singles.Still if u want hard rock the modern way ,Seether is the way to go..
Some Info From Wikipedia:
Seether is a post-grunge/alternative metal band from South Africa. They are currently signed to Wind-up Records. Originally called Saron Gas and signed to Musketeer Records in South Africa, they changed their name in 2002, coinciding with the release of their second album and major label debut, Disclaimer.

Disclaimer II
Disclaimer II is the third album released by the band Seether. This disc is a recompilation of the band's second album, Disclaimer, from 2002. Although the 12 tracks from the original album are present, they have been slightly remixed and do differ from the original. In Europe, the album includes four tracks more than its predecessor; in the United States, the album has eight extra tracks. In both releases, the featured track is a remix of the song "Broken". Amy Lee, the lead singer from Evanescence, joins Seether vocalist Shaun Morgan in a duet performance on this track. The album is certified Platinum Worldwide, going Gold in the US and Canada.

American Godfather - Better Than American Gangster

Written by Kapnos on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Saturday, January 12, 2008

Everybody has heard American Gangster by now.The album is great with the nice production and good Hova flow and all.You being a long time Jay-Z fan thought it couldn't get better right? But then came DJ Skee(Game's motherfucking DJ).Yeah,American Godfather baby a mashup of American Gangster and tunes from G.O.A.T movie The Godfather. This mixtape is better(don't diss me) than the original album and the best American Gangster mixtape out there. The mixtape is done in class and has got real nice sound quality. The beats are solid and I think this is what Jay had done in the first place and put out a themed album. Here is Skee's take on it

"It almost instantly clicked," Skee told MTV News about the idea for the mash-up. "I almost didn't want to do it because I didn't want to do something so cliché. I was like, 'Wait, I already had "The Godfather" musical score.' I listen to it because it has so many ill melodies and breakdowns and emotions. It's crazy the way it's put together. And I thought we could sample it like crazy. And I thought, still, should we do it? But everyone thought the idea was dope and I had nothing to lose, and it came out dope."

Best song on this mixtape got to be 'Fallin'.If you only listen to one song then listen to Fallin to judge the mixtape
